Project 1

Experiencing & Documenting Nature

The idea of this project is for the students to experience and appreciate nature. The site visit will allow the students to be part of nature to observe and collect information. Students will have to represent their findings and information as an info graphic interactive poster and booklet. This project will not just benefit the students in this class, but it will spark awareness and inspiration to others around the world once they share it online and on their online TGC Portfolio.

Site Visit – Experiencing Nature

In groups students will then have to transfer these experiences and information collected from the site into an info graphic interactive poster. Students will need to use their creative thinking skills knowledge to create an original and interactive info graphic poster. The poster will concentrate on the habitat or any specific theme of nature approved by their tutor. Videos or short clips can be embedded and should focus on the student’s experience at site, their concise understanding of the habitat or theme. Infographic Interactive Poster shall not exceeding 8 A2 size, all portrait or all landscape. Group Presentation should not exceed 15 minutes.

In this group work, students are required to form a group of 10 members in total. My group mates are included Brandon Liaw (group leader), Ng Sheng Zhe, Goh Jia Jun, Tay Siew Wen, Sii Siaw Hua, Wong Mei Xin, Kenneth Tan, Zachary Ooi, Klaus and me.

After we came back from site visit, we had some discussion and gathered all our information and photos together for further discussion. We separated our work equally to make sure all of us did participated in this project. After information were gathered, Brandon, Sheng Zhe, Jia Jun and Siaw Hua did the digital infographic together. On the presentation day, Brandon, Sheng Zhe and me had represented out group to present our infographic group work.
