The subject in this course is for foundation students to learn the basics of essay writing skills, reading skills, communicating skills, oral presenting and many others to prepare for their degree programs.
Follow by English 1 on last semester, it focus on basic of English. However, English 2 is more concentrate on essay writing. As we know that, English is the main language in the world and it also include as our international language.

After I complete this assignment, I learnt about the methods to locate, extract and arrange information in a more organized and effective way. When I am doing this assignment, I brainstormed about the similarities and differences between these two movies to decide whether I am going to write a compare or contrast essay. With the guidance of lecturer, I managed to make my decision and done my essay with comparative form.

Throughout this assignment, we embarked on a memorable adventure together. We travelled to Kampar, Perak and Damansara, Kuala Lumpur to interview the interviewee of Sweet Hug House and Haraju Cube. We developed a deeper insight about the dessert business and learnt about the business strategies implemented by these dessert businesses. Our group’s great teamwork and collaboration resulted in this wonderful. We complete our report and presentation together nicely and we are satisfied with our group work. After complete this assignment, I am able to apply the lesson that taught by my lecturer in my work. I also have a better understanding on how to write an efficient and organized report after the guidance by my lecturer.
Reflection
There's no doubt that this is a very useful course that I will need to partake because it will help me in the future in which I have learned how to write an essay properly, using the right grammar, referencing skills, reading skills, observing skills and a lot more. It is all very useful knowledge and skills in my future career, Quantity Surveyor. In terms of speaking I’ve improved immensely due to the practices and guidance by my lecturer. Although our previous English lecturer was unable to teach us, our current lecturer, Mr. GopiGhantan Mylvaganam came in the 6th week of the semester to teach us. The assignments in this subject are all very interesting and I’ve gained skills and knowledge such as the compare and contrast essay and the businesses comparison report.
